This is the French method which is always rarer than non-French methods.
You need a good heavy bottomed pan or grill and you need to put it on a fiery hot heat.

You should use a nice thick cut of steak (I am presuming you are using at least a 2cm thick slice). Lightly salt and pepper the steak on both sides.

ASK SUE:INSPIRATIONAL STORY- life lessons from a teacher;another version of the same story (2)

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of small pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.

The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "Yes."

UPDATE:FIVE EXECUTIVE MEMBERS OF NANS KILLED IN GHASTLY MOTOR ACCIDENT ON THEIR WAY TO UNIUYO.

Five executive members of the
National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, were on thursday killed in a ghastly motor accident in Ikwuano area of Abia State on their way to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital. Seven others who survived with serious injuries were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Those killed in the accident included, NANS Senate President, Mr. Donald Onukaogu, said to be the leader of the students delegation to Uyo and a student of Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

Others who lost their lives were Assah Ejeita from Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri; Duru Jacob, Assistant Secretary General of NANS, Zone B; one Japheth and one other whose name could not be ascertained at press time.

The accident occurred at Ariam in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State along the busy Umuahia -Ikot Ekpene road. The accident involved a Hiace bus conveying the students and a trailer from Akwa Ibom State which was said to have lost control before ramming into the bus.

May their souls RIP

ASK SUE:INSPIRATIONAL STORY:LIFE lESSONS FROM A TEACHER

There was once a very wise teacher, whose words of wisdom students would come from far and wide to hear. One
day as usual, many students began to gather in the teaching room. They came in and sat down very quietly, looking to the front with keen anticipation, ready to hear what the teacher had to say.

Eventually the teacher came in and sat down in front of the students. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
On one side of the teacher was a large glass jar. On the other side was a pile of dark grey rocks. Without saying a word,the teacher began to pick up the rocks one by one and place them very carefully in the glass jar (Plonk. Plonk.)

When all the rocks were in the jar, the teacher turned to the students and asked, 'Is the jar full?' 'Yes,' said the students. 'Yes, teacher, the jar is full'.
Without saying a word, the teacher began to drop small round pink pebbles carefully into the large glass jar so that they fell down between the rocks. (Clickety click. Clickety click.) When all the pebbles were in the jar, the teacher turned to the students and asked, 'Is the jar now full?'

The students looked at one another
and then some of them started nodding and saying, 'Yes. Yes, teacher, the jar is now full. Yes'. Without saying a word, the teacher took some fine silver sand and let it trickle with a gentle sighing sound into the large glass jar (whoosh) where it settled around the pink pebbles and the dark grey rocks.

When all the sand was in the jar, the teacher turned to the students and asked, 'Is the jar now full?' The students were not so confident this time, but the sand had clearly filled all the space in the jar so a few still nodded and said, 'Yes, teacher, the jar is now full. Now it's full'. Without saving a word, the teacher took a jug of water and poured it carefully, without splashing a drop, into the large glass jar. (Gloog. Gloog.)

When the water reached the brim, the teacher turned to the students and asked, 'Is the jar now full?' Most of the students were silent, but two or three ventured to answer, 'Yes, teacher, the jar is now full. Now it is'. Without saying a word, the teacher took a handful of salt and sprinkled it slowly over the
top of the water with a very quiet whishing sound. (Whish.)

When all the salt had dissolved into the water, the teacher turned to the students and asked once more, 'Is the jarnow full?' The students were totally silent. Eventually one brave student said, 'Yes, teacher. The jar is now full'. 'Yes,' said the teacher 'The jar is now full'.

The teacher then said: 'A story always has many meanings and you will each have understood many things from
this demonstration. Discuss quietly amongst yourselves what meanings the story has for you. How many different
messages can you find in it and take from it?'

The students looked at the wise teacher and at the beautiful glass jar filled with grey rocks, pink pebbles, silver sand, water and salt. Then they quietly discussed with one another the meanings the story had for them. After a few minutes, the wise teacher raised one hand and the room fell silent. The teacher said: 'Remember that there is never just one interpretation of anything. You have all taken away many meanings and messages from the story, and each meaning is as important and as valid as any other'. And without saying another word, the teacher got up and left the room.

DID YOU KNOW- MODELS EAT COTTON-BALLS TO STAY SKINNY

I recently read an article on ,and this is what I found out from an expert who talked about models and their new diet plan

It’s no surprise when a new diet plan takes over the modeling world, considering we’ve heard of everything from the Master Cleanse to the Tapeworm diet, but the latest diet fad (or breaking news, rather) among models is just downright disturbing.

When we read that Bria Murphy, Eddie
Murphy’s daughter and aspiring model, revealed that some models have turned to eating cotton balls dipped in orange juice to feel full on virtually zero calories, we were beyond shocked.

There’s incredible pressure on models to be thin, especially during busy times like fashion week, but eating non-food items found in your medicine cabinet and dipping them in juice takes things to an entirely new low.

The 3 scary facts about this diet:

1. There’s absolutely no nutritional value, there’s no fiber, and they’re not taking in any nutrients against calories. They’re really just eating these cotton balls to make themselves feel full for a short period of time, and there’s such a small amount of orange juice soaked into the cotton ball that the juice is really more of a way of making the cotton ball more palatable.

2. They sustain on caffeine and/or other supplements, but they can't sustain very long. Your blood pressure is so low and out of whack when you’re not eating, so they probably eat a few cotton balls and the orange juice spikes their energy, and then they’ll crash. They can’t be eating more than 500-800 calories a day on a diet like this.

3.Side-effect:There’s got to be malnutrition going on, and it’s likely that if they keep a diet like this up, their bodies will go into starvation mode, meaning their metabolism will slow down and their body will process any fat and protein available, which leads to becoming dangerously skinny. Plus, because cotton is not meant to be digested, it could be harmful to their esophagus and intestinal tract. There’s likely to be constipation, which they might be combating with laxatives.

I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone. Whatever happened to eating right and good old exercise!

UPDATE: ALLEGED PLANE CRASH,A HOAX – NAMA

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has dismissed the report of a plane crash in Lagos describing it as a hoax .

In a statement by the Managing Director of the agency, Mazi Nnamdi Udoh said, ” the attention of (NAMA) has been drawn to a purported plane crash yesterday at Igando, a suburb in Lagos State.”

‘’ This morning, we were inundated with phone calls and enquiries over a crash involving a small aircraft but there is nothing like that ,it is a hoax because our system did not capture any missing plane’’,the managing director of the agency, Engr. Mazi Nnamdi Udoh affirmed in Lagos on Thursday while dispelling

the rumour.

NAMA boss said in a statement that the aircraft in question is actually a junk one belonging to Late Apostle Gabriel Oduyemi of Bethel Ministries and had long been parked at a NAMA facility up till Wednesday night when it was eventually removed. “The aircraft was actually released to Captain M.J.Ekehinde who will be using it for educational purposes in Badagry, Lagos.

“I affirm again that NAMA facilities are working at optimal level and this could have assisted in detecting any missing plane within the nation’s airspace. While we appreciate the concern of the public on sighting the plane at an unusual site, we urge that people should always contact police and local government officials for proper information before spreading the news on incident involving any aircraft.”

It will be recalled that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, had earlier issued a week ultimatum to owners of abandoned airplanes in all airports in the country to evacuate them immediately, saying it constituted security threat to the country.
