Its a surprise to know that a majority of parents in Nigeria are still in control of their 20 something year old child's career. A situation whereby a child has a desire for something in particular and this is revealed to the parents but one is refuse because of reasons best known to them and because of this one compromises, left with no choice but what the parents want and gradually one's passion is lost.

Let's take a look at these two scenarios-

A situation where a parent don't get to fulfill their own dreams at their youthful age and so the best option is to make their child fulfill it for them by forcing that child to compromise.

Furthermore, at a young age most kids are unaware of what they want but as they grow older, socialize, make friends, they read, they begin to understand certain things and also see things differently. Their passion for certain things begin to grow at this stage, and some might think its too late to purse their dreams and go after their desires.

But which do you prefer,do you prefer to fulfill your passion go after what you want or you prefer to do what others are doing.

While some children don't want what others do, their problems or rather the situations they are facing are basically people's opinion. (parents, friends, society).

It doesn't matter what people think of you, if you want to purse that passion what matters is what you think of yourself. Remember those people have lived their lives and some have not and compromising shouldn't be the order of the day.

You should never give up on what you are passionate about,if you are not happy with what you are doing today, why not take time to study yourself.

Love Always
Sue
